National Debt Could Be Paid For By The Poor.....WTF?
WHY???
We the people, did not spend and spend and spend until the debt climbed past the debt ceiling! It was our elected officials who threw out so much of our tax dollars into other countries and unnecessary luxuries. Now the poor could be the sacrificial lambs here by involuntarily bailing the debt out while the risk of becoming homeless or relying on family to survive. This sounds outrageous but it could become a reality if all government programs such as social security, welfare and veteran programs are cut.
There is another way, cut government salaries in half, cut paid vacations, insist other countries pay the U.S. back ...... there are other alternatives but putting the burden on the poor should NOT be an option, it should not have been brought to the table in the first place.
